Fees & Rebates

Soul Soothing Psychology is NOT a bulk-billing practice.

Our fee schedule is:

60 min session fee: $250

90 min session fee: $375

Hal-day EMDR intensive fee: $1200

Full-day EMDR intensive fee: $1920

Safe and Sound Protocol fee: $999

MEDICARE REBATES
A doctor’s referral is not necessary to see a psychologist. However, Medicare rebates are available for clients referred by a GP or Psychiatrist. Clients who are referred by a GP or Psychiatrist under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) can receive a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

Medicare rebates do not cover the full cost of your consultation but do reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.

Eligible clients with an MHCP will be entitled to Medicare rebates as follows:

$137.05 rebate per session with a Clinical Psychologist
At the end of your appointment, you will be invoiced the full session amount. We will process your Medicare rebate electronically and Medicare will deposit the corresponding rebate amount into your nominated bank account.

LETTERS AND REPORTS
All letters and reports for third parties will incur a fee, dependent on the detail, and time required.

PAYMENT METHODS
Payment is required at the time of service. We accept credit card payments. For appointments to be covered by a third party such as insurance claims or rehabilitation programs, referral details must be provided when booking the appointment. Please note you will need to arrange your payments with a provider. I require full payment at the time of consultation and will then give you a receipt for you to claim.

PRIVATE HEALTH REBATES
Private health rebate is available from most funds. Please check with your provider for availability.

CANCELLATION OF APPOINTMENTS
Please give a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment or a full fee will be charged. Giving ample notice for cancellation allows appointments to be given to other clients in need. If you are canceling an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice due to illness then you will need to provide a doctor’s certificate so we can waive your cancellation fee. Cancellation fees must be paid before a new appointment can be made.
